Cynthia R. Hale is the Associate Vice President for Finance and Personnel. She reports directly to the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, advising the Provost on all issues related to personnel, finance and policy within the Division of Academic Affairs. In addition, she provides leadership in collaborative efforts to find solutions for funding and operational challenges, including the Administrative Modernization Program.
Ms. Hale has held several administrative positions at the University, including Assistant Dean in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, Director of the Office of International and Executive Programs, and Assistant Dean of the Graduate School. She has served on the Campus Senate, was the Founding Chair of the Council of University System Staff, and was named the University Woman of the Year in 2015. Ms. Hale is a graduate of Duke University and resides in Silver Spring, Maryland.
