In Fall 2020, AMP completed the implementation of an eProcurement System, Shell Shop, which provides an online retail-like experience for purchasing goods and services. UMD Shoppers have direct access to preferred vendors and negotiated pricing, with automated approval workflows, and transparency into the transaction process.

Goals & Outcomes

  • Increased use of negotiated buying agreements, enabling reduced spending on frequently purchased items
  • Improved merchant level commodity data, allowing better contract negotiation and reduced commodity pricing
  • Less time spent searching for and completing the purchasing of goods and services
