How to Log a Drop-In Meeting

When a student selects “Drop-In Hours” instead of “Advising Appointment” while scheduling in the Student Portal, they are not presented with the option of scheduling an appointment. This means that advisors have to create a Drop-In appointment event when the student “drops-in” to log that an appointment happened. Instructions about how to create a Drop-In event / mark a Drop-In appointment are below.

  1. Open Appointment Manager by clicking Appointment Manager in the lower-left corner of the screen.

  2. Click the red New Drop-In Hours button on the right side of the window.

  3. Complete the information on the page according to the Drop-In you are logging.

  4. Click Save

  5. You have now logged a Drop-In appointment.
